Dr. Foley contributed to “Reimaging the Politics of the Gulf Monarchies of the Twenty-First Century,” a panel held at the annual meeting of the Japan Association for Middle East Studies (JAMES) at Keio University (Tokyo, Japan). During the panel, Dr. Matthew Gray presented a paper on the academic literature on the Gulf states, while Dr. Namie Tsujigami and Dr. Foley presented papers on different aspects of gender in Saudi Arabia. The JIME Center’s Shuji Hosaka served as moderator for the panel.
