Dr. Foley presented “A Kingdom of Many Colors: Art, Reform, and Saudi Arabia in the Twenty-First Century” to “The 3rd Tsinghua Area Studies Forum—Developing Countries in the Age of Uncertainties: Risks, Rewards and Interdependency.” The conference, held in Beijing, China, was sponsored by Tsinghua’s Institute for International and Area Studies. The university is widely seen as one of the top two universities in China and one of the most prestigious in the world. During the forum’s closing ceremony, Dr. Foley was presented with an award for best presentation.
