In September 2025, Dr. Foley gave a paper on star Kuwaiti singer +Aziz and his work to the thirteenth Nordic Conference on Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oslo in Oslo, Norway. Following Dr. Foley’s presentation on +Aziz and his music, +Aziz gave a live musical presentation–via Zoom–to the conference from his home in Seattle, Washington.
