On May 23, 2023 Dr. Foley spoke with Dr. Hatem Alzahrani, a leading Saudi poet, about the arts in contemporary Saudi Arabia and Changing Saudi Arabia: Arts, Culture, and Society in the Kingdom–his book on the Kingdom’s contemporary arts scene, which was recently translated into Arabic. During the conversation, Dr. Foley also fielded questions from the audience and signed books for attendees. The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Adab Publishing, which published Dr. Foley’s book in Arabic (2022), and held at Jeem Stage, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
